The Engineering Export Council of Egypt (EECE) has launched a trade mission to Algeria, comprising representatives from 12 Egyptian companies. This initiative aims to expand exports to Algeria and other North African markets, aligning with the Council’s strategy to drive export growth and achieve sustainable economic development.

Mai Helmy, Executive Director of the Council and Head of the Mission, highlighted the diversity of sectors represented in the delegation. Participating companies specialize in home appliances, auto parts, transportation, cables and components, refrigeration chambers and accessories, industrial equipment for hotels and restaurants, and sanitary ware.

The trade mission was organized in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Egyptian Commercial Representation, and the US Agency for International Development (USAID). Over its three-day duration, the delegation will engage in meetings with prospective Algerian buyers, major importing firms, and economic federations to foster enhanced commercial cooperation between Egypt and Algeria.

Helmy emphasized Algeria’s potential as a growing market for Egyptian engineering products, noting the strengthening economic ties between the two nations, bolstered by shared historical and cultural bonds.

The participating companies represent a selection of leading Egyptian manufacturers known for producing high-quality, competitive products. Helmy expressed optimism that this mission will not only deepen trade relations between Egypt and Algeria but also facilitate the signing of new partnership agreements and the exploration of additional market opportunities for Egyptian goods across North Africa.
