Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer & Cyclical, Telecoms and Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare sectors led shares higher while losses in the Insurance, Media and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.09%, while the MDAX index declined 0.24%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (DE:FMEG), which rose 3.42% or 2.220 points to trade at 67.060 at the close. Meanwhile, Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (DE:FREG) added 2.98% or 1.310 points to end at 45.215 and Adidas AG (DE:ADSGN) was up 1.43% or 4.55 points to 322.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (DE:BMWG), which fell 5.04% or 4.280 points to trade at 80.715 at the close. MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:MTXGn) declined 2.25% or 4.75 points to end at 206.40 and Muench. Rueckvers. VNA O.N. (DE:MUVGn) was down 1.70% or 3.90 points to 225.30.
The top performers on the MDAX were K&S AG (DE:SDFGn) which rose 3.83% to 12.320, Evotec AG O.N. (DE:EVTG) which was up 2.89% to settle at 35.660 and Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which gained 1.89% to close at 22.055.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was down 10.11% to 25.61 in late trade, Shop Apotheke Europe NV (DE:SAEG) which lost 3.22% to settle at 123.100 and Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which was down 2.44% to 45.905 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (DE:EVTG) which rose 2.89% to 35.660, Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (DE:EUZG) which was up 1.94% to settle at 121.000 and Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which gained 1.89% to close at 22.055.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was down 10.11% to 25.61 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which lost 2.44% to settle at 45.905 and Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which was down 1.89% to 16.070 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 348 to 332 and 77 ended unchanged.
