France stocks mixed at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.02%

France stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher while losses in the Industrials, Oil & Gas Producers and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.02%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.00%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Airbus Group SE (PA:AIR), which rose 4.04% or 3.71 points to trade at 95.48 at the close. Meanwhile, WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) added 2.45% or 1.36 points to end at 56.92 and Total SA (PA:TOTF) was up 2.56% or 0.94 points to 37.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Dassault Systemes SE (PA:DAST), which fell 3.79% or 7.15 points to trade at 181.30 at the close. Worldline SA (PA:WLN) declined 3.37% or 2.60 points to end at 74.48 and Renault SA (PA:RENA) was down 3.25% or 1.24 points to 36.80.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were CGG SA (PA:GEPH) which rose 6.09% to 0.972, Elior Group (PA:ELIOR) which was up 4.91% to settle at 6.63 and Accor SA (PA:ACCP) which gained 4.86% to close at 32.99.

The worst performers were Mcphy Energy (PA:MCPHY) which was down 6.50% to 29.50 in late trade, Valeo SA (PA:VLOF) which lost 4.54% to settle at 30.72 and Faurecia (PA:EPED) which was down 4.22% to 44.68 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 337 to 251 and 80 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.79% or 31.85 to $1809.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 3.09% or 1.83 to hit $61.09 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.57% or 1.60 to trade at $63.74 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.2140, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8639.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 90.170.
